Manchester United are increasingly confident of winning Jadon Sancho for £ 120m this summer.
United is in pole position to get Sancho back into the Premier League. The domestic rivals fail because of the fee demanded by Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho, who left Manchester City for Dortmund in 2017 in a deal worth £ 8m, his accomplishments since then they see his rocket worth and make him Europe’s most sought after young player.
However, as Liverpool and Chelsea were put off by the Dortmund rating, United – who had tried to sign Sancho last summer – was his most likely target.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and deputy chairman Ed Woodward are determined to close the deal despite the club’s record price.
The £ 89 million United paid Juventus For Paul Pogba in 2016, the biggest fee the Reds paid for a player remains, but the club is ready to break that record for Sancho.
United believes at the highest level that signing Sancho, even at the exorbitant price quoted, would ultimately be a good deal given the player’s tremendous talent and age profile over time.
While Liverpool is reportedly unwilling to pay the Sancho landing fee, the player himself knows that it will be difficult to break through the established three fronts of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
With that in mind, Sancho will advocate a move to United, who is excited about Solskjaer’s youthful revival of the team, where he can fill the void on the right wing and connect with English teammates like Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire.
United is said to have been encouraged by their early efforts to land Sancho, which is emerging in a big summer in the transfer market for the Reds, who also have Jack Grealish from Aston Villa and James Maddison from Leicester on their radar.
